Handmade Brass Hanuman Statue

New Page 2

God Hanuman is considered as the incarnation of Shiva or reflection of Shiva. When Ravana tried to enter the Kailash Parvat (the abode of Shiva) Nandi stopped him and Ravana called Nandi a monkey. Nandi in return cursed Ravana: monkeys would help destroy him. In the process word monkey along with panchaksram "Om Namashivaya" hit Shiva. Shiva, to give respect to his devotee, took born to Devi Anjana as Hanuman, by the blessings of Pavana Deva, who thus became Hanumans Godfather. Hanuman selected Surya, the sun god as his teacher, and approached him with the request to teach the scriptures. He is a noble hero and great devotee of Lord Rama of the Ramayana. This deity is a provider of courage, hope, knowledge, intellect and devotion. He is pictured as a robust monkey holding a mace (gada) which is a sign of bravery and having a picture of Lord Rama tattooed on his chest which is a sign of his devotion to Lord Rama. DakshCraft has God Human statues in different postures and heart stealing appearances made in brass. These statues are the perfect and holy accessories for home decor. You can place these statues in your kitchen, bedrooms or living rooms.

Handmade Lord Hanuman Statues

New Page 2

Lord Hanuman was born to the humanoid creatures called the vanaras. His mother Anjana was an apsara who was born on earth as a female vanara due to a curse. She would be redeemed from this curse on her giving birth to a son. The Valmiki Ramayana states that his father Kesari was the son of Brihaspati and that Kesari also fought on Rama's side in the war against Ravana. Anjana and Kesari performed intense prayers to Shiva to get a child. Pleased with their devotion, Shiva granted them the boon they sought. Hanuman, in another interpretation, is the incarnation or reflection of Shiva himself. Lord Hanuman is a Hindu deity, who was an ardent devotee of Rama according to the Hindu legends. He is a central character in the Indian epic Ramayana and its various versions. A vanara (ape-like humanoid), Hanuman participated in Rama's war against the demon king Ravana. He is also considered the son of Vayu, who according to several mythological stories, played a role in his birth.
