The Great Awakening Siddhartha is still a Bodhisattva, although this is the countless births in which he had already developed those supreme virtues and insights that lead to perfection. As a Buddha, the "Wake" is sometimes referred to by his family name of Gautama or Gautama, and this serves to distinguish him from the seven previous Buddha's of whom he was more truly the lineal descendant. Prince Siddhartha was brought up in luxury at the court in Kapilavatthu and kept in total ignorance of the old age, sickness and death to which all mundane beings are naturally subject. |

Baby Bodhisattva or child Siddhartha reminds us that we are still a baby or at least a child in our spiritual ... the holy Sangha, the great Buddha Awakened Saints.
